WHAT HAPPENS AT HOPSCOTCH?

A typical session at Hopscotch might look something like this………….

9am or 12.30pm    

Arrival, signing-in and free play activities.

Free choice of play activities indoors and outside: - messy and creative play, role-play area, construction and physical play opportunities.

10.30am or 2.15pm    

Snack is served for around half an hour. The children can choose from a piece of fruit or maybe some toast, cereal, houmous and veg sticks or cheese. There is milk or water to drink.

10.45am or 2.30pm    

Free choice of play activities indoors and outside: - maybe time to read a story, do a puzzle, some more building and creating or enjoy some sand and  water play.

12noon or 3.30pm  

Home time!

Lunch Club

​

Lunch Club for children staying all day is from 12noon to 12.30pm. Children bring their own packed lunch and we enjoy eating together. Children who stay all day go home at 3pm or, for a small fee, they can stay until 3.30pm.

Music time with Popi!

​

On Wednesdays we enjoy music time with Popi! Popi is an experienced Early Years peripatetic music teacher. The children enjoy music, dancing and playing instruments under her expert guidance. ​​

Hopscotch is open during all Leicester City school term times.
